Taking inspiration from traditional Chinese furniture, I created this meditation chair with my understanding of traditional Chinese 禅椅(Meditation chair) and simple furniture designs. Through a simple and geometric form, I wanted to create a chair with beautiful moments within, and capture the atmosphere of calm and groundedness. The live edge gives more character to the chair, an organic piece that breaks the geometric form and helps emphasize a sense of nature and zen.
